Our Background
Founded by Mr.Mwesigye Ronald and his wife Miss Nakidde Bridget in 2017. With his diversified social network, Ronald has been so vibrant when it comes to community work an element that has enabled him kick start a number of projects. When it came to community health this ingredient was supplemented by Miss Nakidde Bridget’s pharmacy knowledge with her experience as a supervising pharmacist. During their service in community areas the couple realized that many families live below the poverty line which became a big factor to even afford the least priced drug. Access to health services is limited, and the majority depend on small clinics that are often under-resourced.
Preventable diseases such as malaria, diarrhea, and respiratory infections continue
to affect children and adults. Poor sanitation, lack of clean water, and low
awareness of preventive health practices worsen the situation. Reproductive
health problems in youths continue to skyrocket as their population grows rapidly.
During consultation sessions carried out by the pharmacist majority of the health
issues continue to escalate in this community emerging from lack of resources in finances to
afford right medicines and correct medical information derived from the right professionals.
As a response to these challenges the couple decided to initiate
a community based pharmacy project that could directly serve these underserved people
and in 2019 brothan community pharmacy was started. Local leaders,
health professionals, and community members came together with one goal: to reduce the burden of
disease and improve the quality of life for people who cannot easily access health care. Ssanyu
seeks to fill the gap by bringing health services closer to the people, educating households,
and building a system of care that is sustainable and inclusive.
Our Objectives

- Provide and organize workshops and sessions on health topics such as nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.
